Account Manager

YOU: An Account Manager who loves big thinking and also sweats the small stuff as you help bring complex experiential marketing executions to life.
You'll be in a client-facing role, responsible for scoping, orchestrating and ultimately delivering experiential marketing programs for our clients, a diverse mix of established Fortune 500 brands, consumer technology brands, and startups.
You'll make use of your strong expertise in account management to pair client objectives with strategic experiential solutions that meet our client's needs. You'll oversee multiple resources to bring our marketing executions to life: creative development, program budgets, program schedules, vendor contracts and fulfillment counterparts as needed to align various elements of each program.
We're primarily interested in someone who is strategic, results driven, can keep an eye on the big picture, build strong client relationships, thrives in the trenches, and ultimately has fun doing all of that Just like we do.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be an extension of the client and the voice of the client's brand within Manifold.
- Build strong and productive relationships with client stakeholders, with the goal of growing each account over time.
- Play a lead role in orchestrating a holistic marketing strategy for our clients. Make the effort to understand the innerworkings of each client's brand and business so that all of Manifold's output is rooted in deep, strategic understanding of our clients' needs.
- Partner with our internal and external teams, partners and vendors (creative, production, project management, legal, accounting) to leverage multiple resources to bring our marketing executions to life.
- Participate in, and lead when appropriate, brainstorming sessions with internal, external and client teams.
- Assign and track project milestones from conception through completion.
- Oversee day-to-day internal communications regarding project status and communicate to internal and client stakeholders as necessary
- Oversee day-to-day client communications.
- Develop and maintain program budgets as well as post-program success reports and presentations.
- Anticipate and communicate program risks to Manifold leadership, always with a solution-oriented approach
- Keep up on the latest trends and developments in experiential and event marketing.
REQUIREMENTS:
- An independent thinker, driven, energetic, and enthusiastic. You are a team player who takes initiative.
- Understand experiential and event marketing fundamentals such as strategy, ROI, advertising basics and media terms, brand positioning and identity
- Have experience confidently leading programs and interfacing directly with clients. Must be able to "hold a room" (i.e, lead a call, meeting, etc. in a confidence-inspiring manner).
- Build and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring that all client needs are heard, understood and addressed in a timely way.
- Ensure clear communication to the client regarding roles and responsibilities, scope, budget, schedules, and project status/action items. Not afraid to have tough conversations with clients when needed.
- Bring proactive solutions to the client in regard to the execution of the event and structure of team.
- Can liaise efficiently with outside vendors including vetting, cost-effective quoting, purchasing, project management and relationship oversight.
- Are extremely organized with a strong ability to multitask and willing to implement down to the smallest detail.
- Must be available to travel for client meetings, program launches and activations as necessary - potentially up to 25-30% of the time.
- 5+ years of experience servicing clients as part of an agency, freelance or equivalent experience servicing internal clients on the brand side.
