  • The Position: The Payroll Manager is a stand-alone position that will own the payroll process and will be in charge of handling weekly payroll for both union and nonunion employees.

The Payroll Manager's responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Individual contributor position that will manage and maintain all payroll records including salaried, hourly, corporate benefits and payroll adjustments
  • Process weekly union and non-union payroll for 400 employees
  • Process payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades. Communicate the changes and improvements company wide.
  • Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
  • Responsible for weekly certified payroll reporting, union and/or prevailing wage calculations.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's preferred by not required
  • 5+ years' of hands-on full cycle payroll experience.
  • Must have strong experience processing union payroll
  • Knowledge of the state and federal laws that govern reporting of wages, taxation, employee benefit administration, laws governing garnishments, withholdings from wages, taxation and reporting requirements etc.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
