Responsibilities:
- Architect and design robust and real-time embedded firmware and hardware applications
- Implement testing interfaces to various sensors/peripherals
- Take ownership of designs, and manage individual tasks, deadlines, and deliverables
- Supporting other team members in various projects
- Some contact with customers
- Documentation of your work
Qualifications:
- 0-3 years of professional or non-professional development experience in embedded systems
- Strong programming skills in C and C++ for embedded systems or embedded Linux systems
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or MATLAB
- Familiarity with circuit diagram/schematic capture programs (e.g. Altium or OrCad).
- Experience using hardware development tools such as debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Enjoy learning and using new technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and curious; pursues side projects just for the fun of it
- Ability to work solo and within small teams
- Like to work frequently and directly with a variety of customers that range from quirky to awesome

Odic Incorporated is a small electronics design company located outside Boston, Massachusetts. We've been designing electronic hardware and firmware for over 33 years, working with 270 companies all over the country, from start-ups to large, well-known businesses. Our designs usually involve a processor, sensors, and communication interfaces, both wired and wireless, in an embedded environment. We also write the firmware ourselves. We are big into small things, which includes designing wearables and IoT. Recent examples include designing several types of wearable health monitors for the US Army, a wireless EEG sensor for sleep monitoring, and a blood sample processing device full of motors and sensors.
