This is an excellent opportunity to work within our downtown Chicago high-end design build firm, specializing in the residential projects local to Chicagoland.

We are currently seeking a full-time Residential Design/Construction Project Coordinator with excellent communication and technical skills to join our team. This position is for managing small to large luxury residential renovations and the occasional new construction.


As a Design/Construction Project Coordinator, you will be working on a team including construction project manager, and site superintendent, involved from concept including estimating, design finishes, project launch, execution and completion delivering the highest level of excellence


The ideal candidate will be well- versed in all design and construction methodologies and procedures and able to working directly with clients assisting in the design, selection, pricing, purchasing and receiving the needed resources to build luxury residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the coordination of design scopes and specifications as the direct client coordinator, while communicating and assisting the construction and accounting team.
  • Review design drawings, specifications, shop drawings to assist in pricing and bid packages.
  • Gather bids, coordinating ordering, document materials and assemble final budgets.
  • Researching and sourcing materials, trade installers/finish subcontractors, to coordinate design finishes, detailed millwork, kitchens/baths and living spaces.
  • Assist the team in project scheduling, communicating realistic timelines and helping the clients finalize finish selections to coordinate with the construction schedule.
  • Project site visits and daily communications to assist the team in managing the construction process.
  • Schedule, prepare, document and manage client design meetings.
  • Participate in project team meetings, working with design build partners and internal teams.


Skills for Success:

  • Bachelor's Degree in design, architecture, construction or similar equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally, written and electronically.
  • Experience in setting customers’ expectations and properly handling issue-resolution.
  • Strong working knowledge of design and construction including construction project life cycle.
  • Solid computer skills working in Microsoft Excel, Procore, and working in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe and similar.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to delegate and follow up on work appropriately.
  • Continued learner to keep informed of new materials, methods, and technologies.
