Director of Sales / Energy Services

Located in Boston MA Area- This job is in office position.


Our client is a leading commercial electrical contractors and energy services company serving clients across New England. Our Client specializes in delivering energy projects of varying sizes and complexities with a focus in Electrical, Solar, EV Charging, & Energy Efficiency construction.


They are looking for a motivated individual to join their team and fill their Director of Sales role.


Overview:

As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for managing Sales Representatives, Sales Engineers, and Energy Efficiency Specialists. You will drive growth by developing and championing sales strategies, optimizing the sales team's productivity, and building strong relationships with utility energy efficiency teams and suppliers.


Responsibilities:

- Lead a team of sales professionals and Energy Efficiency Specialists.

- Act as a resource to sales employees, supporting them through all phases of the sales process.

- Communicate goals, provide mentoring, and conduct performance appraisals.

- Participate in industry associations and events to build relationships and enhance Our Clients' reputation.

- Work within a collaborative, open team environment to achieve business goals.

- Develop business in line with growth objectives and utility program commitments.

- Review proposals and estimates to ensure accuracy and professional quality.

- Develop training programs and foster a forward-thinking culture within the sales team.


Required Skills & Experience:

- Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field preferred.

- Minimum of 6+ years of sales experience.

- Minimum of 3+ years of sales management.

- Successful sales track record

- Experience selling solutions successfully

- Thorough knowledge of energy efficiency solutions and utility rebate programs.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and industry-related software.

- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
