The RSD-Inside Sales will be responsible for the overall success of his or her team of Inside Sales Managers and Account Developers and the customers that they manage. Key measures of success are achieving sales and margin budgets and account retention goals, driving employee engagement, and assisting business development in closing new customers. The Regional Sales Director is charged with leading a team of sellers to create and maintain a high energy, high-impact sales culture with high levels of accountability to achieve business results.

The RSD-Inside Sales will manage a team of 10-12 inside sellers who are required to maintain and grow existing accounts along with identifying new clients while working with our Strategic Account Managers on Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients. This leader must be a strong digital seller & leader with SalesForce.com experience. This team manages many transactional sales where digital selling allows for a "one to many" sales approach. Digital selling experience is a must.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsible for managing team of sales representatives and the selling process for Staples Promotional Products. Hiring, training, coaching and development are key components. Responsible for the overall financial success of his or her team of Strategic Account Executives and Account Executives and the customers that they manage. Key measures of success are achieving sales and margin budgets and account retention goals, driving employee engagement, and assisting business development in closing new customers. Own account profitability – developing financial budgets, on-going account forecasts, and profit improvement plans. Foster and develop strategic engagement at senior levels of client organizations (Directors, VPs, CMO’s) to grow business. Negotiate and write contracts for account renewals and work with peers in other LOB’s to drive customers growth. Designs, develops and oversees the execution of the Commercial Sales’ strategy for the Region with a high degree of independence and authority – designs and directs the overall sales strategy, develops and executes annual business plans and budgets related to the Regional sales plans, oversees the execution of the commercials sales strategy for the region. Establishes aggressive and realistic annual performance goals for each sales rep in the division. Manages profitability and operating expenses within budget and reports to Area Vice President of Sales. Reviews Margin Gross Profit scorecard with Sales VP and sales management monthly. Analyzes market growth areas and ensure representation in those markets. Maintains and continuously improves the company’s competitive position through sales and marketing activities throughout the organization. Maximizes the efficiency of sales territories through appropriate direct reports to ensure maximum sales volume and profits, at a minimum cost. Establishes and maintains close personal contact with top echelon customers and prospects. Recruits, trains, develops, coaches, mentors, manages, and promotes highly competent Sales Managers.

What You Bring To The Table

Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written). Ability to communicate and establish relationships with customers at all levels of the organization. Ability to create and develop effective presentations, reports, etc. Strong financial acumen (budgets, forecasts, profit modeling) Writing contracts and basic legal terminology Demonstrated leadership skills and high EI skills

What’s Needed- Basic Qualifications

5-10 years’ experience leading a team that includes developing strategic sales plans for revenue growth in a B2B environment

What’s Needed- Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred or related experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products Salesforce.com experience preferred
