Are you ready to lead and optimize the operations of a cogeneration facility in San Diego, California? As the Facilities & Utilities Manager, you will oversee the production of steam, hot water, electric power, and chilled water, ensuring peak performance and safety compliance.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Operations Oversight:

  • Supervise the daily operations to meet production targets
  • Implement best practices to maximize the efficiency and reliability


Maintenance and Team Leadership:

  • Develop and manage predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance programs
  • Lead a team of technicians and operators, ensuring proper training and fostering a culture of safety and teamwork


Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards
  • Prepare regular reports on plant performance, maintenance activities, and operational metrics


Plant Budgeting:

  • Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize resource allocation
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements


REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Supervisory/management experience in a cogeneration power plant or powerhouse setting
  • Experience with equipment crucial to the generation of steam, hot water, electric power, and chilled water (gas turbines, steam boilers, HRSG, chillers, pumps & valves, electrical switchgear, cooling towers, water treatment systems, instrumentation & control systems, etc.)
  • Education and Military experience may substitute for some required years of experience
  • Strong understanding of utility plant operations and associated equipment
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety standards
