Role Summary: The Facility Attendant will play a crucial role in ensuring that our facility meets the highest cleanliness standards. This position demands a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational abilities, and a strong commitment to fostering a hygienic environment for our members. The ideal candidate will proactively manage facility maintenance and cleanliness.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning Responsibilities: Thoroughly clean and sanitize all areas of the gym, including workout equipment, locker rooms, restrooms, and communal spaces. Utilize appropriate cleaning products and methods to maintain high hygiene standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect gym equipment for cleanliness and functionality. Report any maintenance needs or issues to the relevant personnel.
  • Waste Management: Manage waste disposal by emptying trash receptacles, ensuring proper recycling practices, and keeping waste areas tidy.
  • Supplies Oversight: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as necessary. Ensure that cleaning tools are well-maintained and properly stored.
  • Facility Upkeep: Conduct routine cleaning tasks such as mopping floors, dusting surfaces, and washing windows. Address spills and messes in a timely manner.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety protocols to guarantee a safe and sanitary environment for both members and staff. Report any safety hazards or maintenance concerns to management.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a cleaning or custodial role is preferred, especially within a fitness or recreational setting.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and products is essential.
  • Work Ethic: Reliable, diligent, and dedicated to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Capable of handling physical tasks and performing cleaning duties efficiently.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and move cleaning supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand, walk, and perform cleaning tasks for extended periods.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
