We are currently seeking a talented Accounting Manager to join our client, an expanding investment firm. This firm specializes in managing a diverse portfolio of assets, including sports-related businesses across the United States. As part of their continued growth and reorganization, they are centralizing their operations and are looking for an experienced accounting professional to contribute to this exciting phase.

Accounting Manager Requirements:

  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's would suffice and is preferred but not required).
  • 5+ years' full-cycle accounting - must have experience actually closing the books.
  • Sage Intaact preferred.
  • Someone who loves sports preferred.
  • The ability to work autonomously.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full-cycle accounting for 5-7 entities, including managing month-end close activities.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
  • Perform variance analysis and ensure accurate account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the development of budgets and provide explanations for budget variances.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for coordination with local teams and senior leadership.
  • Support the preparation of external audits and tax filings.
  • Supervise one direct report, with the potential for additional team leadership responsibilities.
