If you are a seasoned professional with a passion for woodworking and a knack for leadership, we have an exciting opportunity for you We are seeking a Permanent Millwork Shop Foreman to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This role will require you to oversee and direct all aspects of our millwork shop operations, ensuring quality control and safety are always at the forefront. You will be working with a variety of materials and machinery, including CNC, to create custom casework, cabinetry, and furniture. This is a hands-on role where your woodworking skills, troubleshooting abilities, and supervision expertise will be put to the test.

Responsibilities

As a Millwork Shop Foreman, you will be responsible for:

1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of the millwork shop, ensuring all work is completed on time and to the highest standards of quality.
2. Operating and maintaining a variety of woodworking machinery, including CNC machines.
3. Creating custom casework, cabinetry, and furniture according to client specifications.
4. Ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
5. Troubleshooting any issues with machinery or projects and implementing effective solutions.
6. Conducting quality control checks on all completed work, making any necessary adjustments to ensure the final product meets our exacting standards.
7. Training and mentoring team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Extensive knowledge of woodworking techniques and the ability to create custom casework, cabinetry, and furniture.
3. Proficiency in operating and maintaining a variety of woodworking machinery, including CNC machines.
4. Strong leadership and supervision skills, with a proven ability to manage a team effectively.
5. Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
6. A strong commitment to safety, with knowledge of relevant safety protocols and procedures.
7. Experience in quality control, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
8. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, as this role involves manual labor.
9. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
