Payroll Manager

Robert Half is seeking a Payroll Manager for an amazing company located in Manchester, New Hampshire This position offers amazing benefits (5+ weeks of PTO), a GREAT culture and very competitive pay. You must be able to commute within NH.

The ideal candidate will have strong high-level payroll management experience and systems experience. This role will not be managing a team of 3 and working closely with HR.
Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing payroll processed by the team
- Managing Payroll taxes, labor laws, GL, reconciliations, and payroll reporting
- Managing bonuses, commissions, paybacks
- Systems experience is a MUST as you will be working on implementations, adding new systems, adding processes with systems team. Must ensure everything posts correctly to the GL.
- Multi-state, multi-entity, bi/weekly payroll for 3000+ people
- Proactive payroll mentality in order to problem solve and find solutions proactively. Taking that further, to initiate policies or initiatives to implement new ways to prevent issues from occurring
- Payroll Benefits Management
- Training and luncheons to managers within the organization
- Heavy payroll reporting in Excel
- Working closely with HR on various payroll related duties
- Software implementation into a new software and being the HRIS go-to.
- Policies and procedures
- State and federal law and compliance management
- Strategy and implementation
- Partner with leadership, management and various departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
- 5+ years' experience in Payroll Management
- Excel and strong software experience in multiple platforms or implementations
- multistate and multi-unit
- Strong systems experience and implementations
- Payroll laws
- Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
- Attention to detail and good judgement
