Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Company Overview:

Our client is a rapidly growing company in the mining industry, preparing for a Nasdaq Stock Market listing. The Senior FP&A Manager will be a critical part of the finance team, providing detailed financial analysis, forecasting, and planning to support the company’s strategic growth initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:


Financial Forecasting and Planning:

  • Lead the company’s financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, cash flow, and capital requirements.


Business Partnering:

  • Collaborate with department heads and senior leadership to provide insights into financial performance, identifying key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide financial decision support through scenario planning, business case analysis, and risk assessment.


Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate monthly and quarterly financial reports for internal stakeholders and the executive team, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the company's operational performance.


Ad-Hoc Projects:

  • Participate in strategic projects such as M&A analysis, capital allocation, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Lead or contribute to systems and process improvements in the FP&A function.


Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in FP&A roles, preferably in a publicly traded company or one preparing for an IPO.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with financial planning software is a plus.
