The Facilities Operations Lead would be leading a team of repair and maintenance technicians. The team will have 1st and 2nd shift of technicians to support production process needs. The role also requires supervising employees and assisting with tasks as necessary.


Responsibilities:

• Lead repair and maintenance technicians to develop continuous improvement and support of facilities assets, buildings, electrical & mechanical systems

• Assigning duties to specific employees based on their roles and skills

• Supervising employees and assisting with tasks as necessary

• Conducting performance reviews and providing feedback to both upper management and team members

• Guide and train associates and contracted technicians to support their growth of skills and abilities

• Handling customer issues and managing conflicts

• Build mutually beneficial relationships with customers, contractors, and department leadership

• Work with departments outside of facilities on planned and unplanned projects requiring Facilities support

• Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations to the Facilities Technical team

• Support Facilities Technical Team with building and equipment design specifications

• Knowledge of PLC Control level issue diagnosis and maintenance, low voltage signal tracing and troubleshooting of logical devices

• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics to complete mechanical & electrical repairs

• Support operation of mechanical systems including but not limited to centrifugal fans, burners, cooling/heating coils, pumps, centrifugal air compressors, centrifugal chillers, heat exchangers

• Manage and/or support the bidding, evaluation, and selection process of contractors for the Repair and Maintenance of the Building, Equipment, Utilities and Site

• Assure that the site and building utilities / mechanical systems meet capacity and reliability requirements of the process and customer

• Would be handling equipment such as HVAC systems, Boilers, Controllers, Lift Station Equipment, Pumps, Air Compressors, roofing, windows, café equipment, Potable and Process water piping, Wastewater systems and piping.

• Oversee and continually improve equipment PM service plans and budgets


Education/Experience:

• High school diploma, technical certificate or degree in a related field, or equivalent experience

• 7+ years of relevant working experience in Manufacturing or Facilities maintenance and repair


Knowledge/Skills:

• Positive attitude, open minded, and team player

• Ability to lead a team of technicians to meet department goals

• Experience using control systems (EBO/Andover, Tridium, Siemens)

• Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor/develop team members

• Work effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high levels of quality and customer service

• Strong subject matter knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, troubleshooting and repair

• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficient Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD capabilities

• Prompt and regular attendance within our onsite operations

• Flexibility to work adjusted shifts as necessary

• Korean language proficiency a plus
