Purpose of the Job

The General Services Representative supports the day-to-day operation for the Winston Salem, NC facilities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Cleans all areas of the main facility daily; removes garbage and debris as required.
  • Sweeps, mops, and dusts as needed building wide.
  • Clean grounds to include all entrances  
  • Stocks and supplies all supply closets and coffee stations daily
  • Maintains a clean and presentable facility for inspections at all times.
  • Spot clean restrooms and replenish restroom supplies as needed
  • Spot clean glass entrance doors daily
  • Clean lobbies, halls and conference rooms for cleanliness
  • Spot clean elevator and floor surfaces daily
  • Check coffee stations for cleanness
  • Check locker room and fitness center daily
  • Respond to emergencies and request as needed
  • Assists the General Services Representatives and General Services Manager as needed on a day-to-day requests.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with other tasks and projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be able to communicate either verbally or written
  • Must have the ability to work through problems
  • Must be able to communicate with co-workers
  • Must be flexible and able to shift resources and priorities when asked
  • Must be have organizational skills
  • Must be able to work in a general office environment
  • Valid driver’s license would be a plus
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be able to complete all assignments with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping required
  • Occasional crouching and crawling required
  • Must be able to moderately lift or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds

 Education and Background

  • Preferred High School diploma or alternative diploma
