Job Title: Production & Development Coordinator

Department: Manufacturing/Production/Development

Reports To: Production Manager/Operations Manager


Job Summary

The Production Coordinator will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing process, ensuring the timely production of high-quality toys and collectibles. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.


Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Maintain production schedules to meet deadlines while optimizing workflow efficiency.
  • Provide all necessary information to vendors on shipping processes and production, testing, and sample requirements.
  • Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure timely shipments and assist with new product development.
  • Track production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet demand and resolve delays.

Coordination & Communication

  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external vendors to develop new products and ensure timely approvals and shipments.
  • Ensure clear communication of priorities, deadlines, and updates to vendors and company teams.
  • Resolve production issues promptly, escalating complex challenges to senior management when necessary.

Quality Assurance

  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure all products meet design specifications and quality standards.
  • Address production errors or defects and coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare regular reports on production status, delays, and improvement opportunities.
  • Update and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production workflows.

Process Improvement

  • Identify inefficiencies in the production process and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in implementing new systems, tools, and technologies to streamline operations.

Team Support & Supervision

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the production team.
  • Help train and onboard new team members, ensuring they understand procedures and safety protocols.


Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience in a production coordination or similar role, preferably in manufacturing or project management
  • Proficiency with production planning tools and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred:

  • Experience in toy or collectible manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with quality standards for toys and collectibles (e.g., ASTM, CPSIA).
