We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Trailer Mechanic for a permanent position in our dynamic team. This role involves maintaining and repairing our fleet vehicles, ensuring their optimal operation and safety. As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be a vital part of our team, contributing to our commitment to excellence and high-quality service.

Responsibilities:

As a Trailer Mechanic, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Performing routine and preventative maintenance on our fleet of trailers, ensuring they meet all safety and operational standards.
2. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, using computer-based diagnostic software for OEM's and component manufacturers.
3. Conducting brake inspections, maintaining brake systems, and obtaining air brake certification if not already certified.
4. Ensuring compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
5. Upholding knowledge of and compliance with OSHA requirements.
6. Lifting parts and equipment of 50 pounds or more as part of daily operations.
7. Utilizing your CDL Class A to test drive and evaluate the performance of repaired trailers.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair, or a combination of 2 years of technical training in Medium/Heavy Duty truck maintenance and 2 years of relevant experience.
2. A current valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
3. A high school diploma or GED.
4. A Brake Inspector Certification, or the ability to obtain one.
5. A working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEM's and component manufacturers.
6. An understanding of FMCSRs and DOT Compliance.
7. An Air brake certification or the ability to obtain one.
8. Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
9. The ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
10. A CDL Class A is preferred.
