New York, United States Spund Full time

*** Please note: this is an equity-only compensation job.***

About Spund:

Spund is a pioneering tech startup dedicated to transforming how consumers save money. Our mission is simple: help consumers save money in the easiest way possible. In today's increasingly complex promotional environment, we want to present consumers with offers that might go unnoticed. Having launched our beta product, we are driven to revolutionize the management of offers and loyalty programs.

The Opportunity:

This is an equity-only position, offering a unique opportunity to gain a stake in a disruptive industry and contribute directly to its success. Until Spund raises seed funding in 2024, there's no monthly salary attached to this role. However, your innovation and leadership will have immediate impact, with a commitment requirement of 20 hours per week.

The Role:

As the Chief Technology Offer (CTO), you'll be the architect of our technological future and the product guru who keeps us ahead of the curve. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping our product strategy, tech stack, and development roadmap. Your role is part visionary, part pragmatist, and fully awesome.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of our product and technology strategy.
  • Build and manage a lean, mean, tech-savvy team.
  • Ensure our tech infrastructure is robust, scalable, and security-proof.
  • Be the bridge between complex tech and a seamless user experience.
  • Collaborate with all facets of the business to ensure technology not only meets, but exceeds customer expectations.
  • Keep us at the forefront of innovation, identifying and integrating new technologies that can enhance our services and social impact.

Requirements:

  • A visionary technologist with full-stack experience.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic startup environment- think fast, act fast, adapt fast.
  • Strong communication skills to translate tech-speak into English.
  • Passionate about using technology to help solve real-world problems.

Why Join Us:

  • Be at the forefront of a game-changing approach in a marketing & loyalty program industry.
  • Directly contribute to a company culture that values innovation, impact, and fairness.
  • Equity stake in a company poised for explosive growth.
  • Flexible, remote work environment.
  • The chance to build something that truly makes a difference.

Ready to create change?

If you're ready to navigate the technology landscape in a direction that's never been charted before in an industry thirsty for innovation, we want to hear from you. Your journey with Spund could be the key to unlocking new realms of consumer savings and digital engagement. Join us, and transform the way the world interacts with promotions and loyalty programs—making it the adventure of a lifetime.

Spund is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
