Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with expertise in Critical Care and Wound Care to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients in critical conditions and assisting in wound management as needed. The RRT will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and quality of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment:

    • Perform thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status, including vital signs, oxygen saturation, and lung function.
    • Evaluate and monitor patients’ conditions to identify changes and respond appropriately.

  • Respiratory Care:

    • Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, mechanical ventilation, and airway management.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare providers.

  • Wound Care:

    • Assist in the assessment and management of patients with respiratory-related wounds, including tracheostomy and ventilator-associated pneumonia.
    • Provide wound care treatments and educate patients and families on proper care techniques.

  • Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to discuss patient progress and modify care plans as necessary.

  • Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments, treatments, and patient responses in compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Ensure timely completion of documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.

  • Quality Improvement:

    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
    • Stay current with best practices and advancements in respiratory care and wound management.

Qualifications:

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
  • Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Previous experience in critical care and wound care preferred.
