Overview: We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a focus on Critical Care and Wound Management. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive respiratory services to patients facing severe health challenges while also providing support in wound care as required. The RRT will work closely with various healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care and recovery.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Patient Evaluation:
    • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' respiratory health, including monitoring vital signs, oxygen levels, and pulmonary function.
    • Continuously assess and track patients' conditions to detect any changes and respond effectively.
  • Respiratory Interventions:
    • Administer a range of respiratory therapies, such as oxygen delivery, nebulization, mechanical ventilation, and airway management.
    • Collaborate with healthcare teams to create and execute personalized treatment strategies.
  • Wound Management:
    • Support the evaluation and treatment of patients with respiratory-related wounds, including those requiring tracheostomy care and managing ventilator-associated complications.
    • Deliver wound care interventions and educate patients and their families on effective care practices.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Engage with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to synchronize patient care and ensure clear communication.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary discussions to review patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain precise and thorough patient documentation, including assessments, treatments, and responses, adhering to regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure prompt and accurate entry of information into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Engage in quality improvement projects and comply with safety and infection control measures.
    • Stay informed about the latest practices and advancements in respiratory therapy and wound care.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program.
  • Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Experience in critical care and wound management is preferred.
