Overview: We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializing in Critical Care and Wound Management. The successful candidate will be tasked with delivering comprehensive respiratory support to patients facing critical health challenges while also providing assistance in wound care as required. The RRT will work closely with various healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care and outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Patient Evaluation:
    • Conduct detailed evaluations of patients' respiratory conditions, including monitoring vital signs, oxygen levels, and lung performance.
    • Continuously assess and track patients' health status to identify any changes and take appropriate actions.
  • Respiratory Interventions:
    • Deliver respiratory treatments such as oxygen therapy, nebulization, mechanical ventilation, and airway management.
    • Collaborate with healthcare teams to create and execute personalized treatment strategies.
  • Wound Management:
    • Support the evaluation and treatment of patients with respiratory-related wounds, including those related to tracheostomy and ventilator use.
    • Administer wound care procedures and educate patients and their families on effective care practices.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work alongside physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care and ensure effective communication.
    • Engage in multidisciplinary discussions to review patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain precise and thorough patient documentation, including assessments, treatments, and responses, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure timely updates of patient information in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Participate in initiatives aimed at improving quality and adhere to safety and infection control standards.
    • Stay informed about the latest practices and advancements in respiratory therapy and wound care.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program.
  • Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Experience in critical care and wound management is preferred.
