Bright Light Academy is seeking an experienced childcare provider to join our infant teaching team. Candidates MUST have two+ years of experience working with young children (under the age of 3), be a team player, high energy & able to multi-task. Candidates must qualify as Assistant Group Supervisors with DHS to be considered. Candidates with a CDA are preferred. Fluent Spanish speaker is a plus.

Responsibilities:
  • Support young children transitioning from the one-year-old classroom to the two-year-old classroom.
  • Collaborate with the teachers to assist and implement daily lesson plans and activities.
  • Help create a safe and stimulating classroom environment for toddlers.
  • Monitor and engage with children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines.
  • Provide individual and group support to children as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and progress.
  • Assist students with personal care routines as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Have two years of experience working with children (2500 hours).
  • Must qualify as an Assistant Group Supervisor or higher with the Dept. of Human Services.
  • Preferably have a CDA or going to school for Early Childhood Education.
  • Able to pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks.
  • Be 18 years or older and able to work in the United States.
  • A love for children and a desire to work with toddlers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Be able to lift up to 40lbs, see, hear & sit on the floor with children.
  • Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment.
  • Fluent Spanish speaker is a plus.

Position Overview:
  • This is a full-time position, but Bright Light full-time staff work a 4-day work week
  • The pay range starts at $16 up to $18 (relative to experience & education) per hour with a pay increase based on performance at the end of a 90-day probation period.
  • Full-time staff also receive paid holidays & PTO, sick pay, annual raises, reduced child care & more.
