Gpac is currently working with a food manufacturer outside of Cincinnati, OH that is seeking a Plant Manager for their 2nd shift. This is with a large company that has been in business for over 50 years. Strong job stability and opportunity for advancement. They are seeking a hands-on leader with previous experience in a food manufacturing environment 

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all operations of the plant, including production, maintenance, engineering, quality assurance, packaging, shipping
  • Coordinate plant activities by strategically planning with departmental managers to ensure manufacturing objectives are achieved efficiently and within budget.
  • Monitor overall plant performance, maintaining high standards for production output and product quality.
  • Provide leadership and training to align team efforts with company goals and objectives.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment
  • Develop and maintain quality control measures to meet or exceed industry standards
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to measure performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Streamline processes to enhance productivity and reduce downtime
  • Implement and optimize production schedules to meet demand and reduce waste

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience in a Plant Management role
  • Hands-on leadership with ability to manage teams of 100+ and multiple supervisors effectively
  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles and their application
  • Meat processing or related industry ideal
  • Bilingual in Spanish or French a plus
  • Strong knowledge of USDA, FDA, HACCP, SQF, GMP's, SOP's

Client is targeting 105k-125k base plus full benefits
