HR OPERATIONS MANAGER

 

QCELLS Enable is the EPC branch of Qcells for the Commercial, Industrial, Distributed Generation, and Small Utility Scale solar markets. Our mission is to provide world class design and installation of large-scale PV and ESS systems throughout the US.  Our position as a leading module manufacturer means we can offer end-to-end solutions for project developers and asset managers.  We are expanding our offerings and have several open positions currently in our Teaneck, New Jersey headquarters.    

 

SUMMARY

Our newly created Human Resource Operations Manager role is a valued team member who thrives using their people experience to build and shape excellence of our HR processes.  The HR Operations Manager will implement and administer best HR practices to ensure a successful employee experience spanning across Enable’s diverse employee population. 

 

This role works closely with Enable HR leadership and our GES HR Shared Services team. The position is accountable for the administration and compliance of all mandatory regulations, benefits programs and for country/region audits of HR programs. 

 

This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and is located in Teaneck, New Jersey. The candidate will be in office 3 days a week/ 2 days remote.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and communicate collaboratively with HR, management and leadership to influence, employee develop, policies, programs and services
  • Assist and manage the HR Team to conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude towards company goals
  • Lead in benefits strategies, which includes monitoring benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence and employee assistance programs
  • Maintains records of benefit plans participation (such as insurance and 401(k)) and personnel transactions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting
  • Manages annual benefit renewal process with our benefit carriers
  • Manages worker’s compensation, including annual renewal process and worker’s compensation audit
  • Lead efforts to draft and implement new policies and procedures
  • Responds to inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and HR programs
  • Create and send reminders and communications to employees on various HR matters
  • Keeps up-to-date with employment laws and best practices, and communicates these to management regularly

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or another related field in business administration, required
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in the Construction or Engineering industries.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Appetite to research best practices, both internally and externally, and present new ideas to the team
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with proven time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to collect, analyze and share data via various mediums including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills and be a self-motivated team player
  • Sound judgement and ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality

 

SALARY RANGE FOR POSITION

The anticipated starting pay range of this position, which is to be located in New York, NY is $115,000.00 to $140,000.00 base salary per year. 

 

The above-listed salary range is required by the New York Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. The salary range shared in the job description is for the listed position and only pertains to the candidate if they work in New York, New York. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to internal pay equity, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, geographic location, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications. An additional discretionary bonus structure or incentives may be offered as part of the overall compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, dental, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered. 

EXAMPLES OF PHYSICAL DEMANDS  

  • Body Position: frequently remains standing and moving up to 90% of the time in a 8-10 hour work day.
  • if operating equipment, be able to enter and exit equipment up to 90% of the time in a 8-10 hour work day
  • Move/Traverse: frequently bend, stand, stoop and/or walk
  • Carry Weight: frequently carry weight and/or lift objects (light to heavy) weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Hearing and Speech: frequently communicates with the ability to hear and talk on a regular basis with employees, coworkers, and all personnel matters; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Sight: frequent use of sight to detect images on computer, office documents, and office objects near and far
  • Climb: occasionally ascends/descends on stairway to get to office/equipment/trenches upper and lower
  • Travel: up to 100% as needed

  • Regular professional, construction site setting
  • Noise level ranges from low to moderate (if in office trailer setting)
