Description

As a leader in technology innovation within the power generation retrofit industry, Dürr Universal specializes in engineered solutions for acoustic and emission/filtration systems. We are seeking a Gas Turbine Retrofit Key Account Manager to join our team and drive growth through developing and maintaining customer relationships and identifying and targeting new customers for industrial applications. This role will involve negotiating with customers to expand sales and opportunities within their territory and assigned accounts, in close collaboration with Engineering and Project Management to ensure technical product alignment with customer specifications.

The successful candidate will stay informed and keep Sales leadership updated on all relevant information pertaining to sales, customer negotiations and discussions, competitive actions, and business policy to ensure we deliver quality products and services to our customers.

Overview of Essential Duties / Functions:

  • Build strong relationships with new and existing customers to drive sales growth
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the Retrofit business
  • Ownership of retrofit sales within their territory, forecasting and reporting sales trends in their territory and maximize profitable sales growth
  • Obtain knowledge in the application and general design of company products and ability to convey this in an effective manner to customers
  • Effectively communicate customer needs to internal key stakeholders in engineering, customer service, project management, and operations
  • Respond to requests for quotes, meeting the quotation deadline established by the customer
  • Understand customer's motives, needs and specifications
  • Help negotiate contracts in alignment with standard terms and conditions to achieve customer requirements and Dürr business goals
  • Demonstrate to customers that they have a strong advocate tied to common goals, along with the positive results they can expect from our business relationship
  • Preserve and improve the profit margins for all product and services sold by supporting manufacturing and operations team as needed during project execution
  • Provide sales forecast to anticipate upcoming opportunities and aid in production planning via Salesforce CRM
  • Facilitate resolution of customer complaints
  • Domestic travel required: 25-50+%
  • Develop working relationships with AE firms to assure DUUS products are understood and specified
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education / Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration with strong technical sales experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in relationship-based sales of a technical product in a manufacturing environment is required. Experience with Industrial silencer applications is a plus

• A strong technical background and experience interfacing with an Engineering team is preferred

• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications, SAP, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM is preferred

• High energy level with a strong work ethic, well organized, and possesses strong analytical and reasoning abilities necessary in the art of "closing the deal"

• Must be a people person with well-developed interpersonal skills. An innate ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful, mature and flexible
