Detention Services Division (DSD) is looking for California Licensed Armed Supervisory Detention Officers for Starside’s USMS, ICE, HSI, DHS and GEO Contracts in San Diego and Imperial Counties. Our Detention Officers Supervisors work at various USMS, HSI, ICE and GEO facilities and Hospitals in San Diego and Imperial County. Starside’s Detention Officers Supervisors schedule and perform unannounced post visits, supervise attorney visits and the transport of detainees and inmates from various facilities making sure Starside’s Detention Officers are protecting and securing both the public and the Detainee by preventing escape. Starside also protects the public and the inmate from harm.
Ideal Candidate
Clean Background / Clear Credit / DMVPass a Pre-employment PhysicalCalifornia Guard CardCalifornia Exposed Firearms Permit (9mm, .40 Caliber)Previous Government Service a plusWilling to work As Needed / Part Time / Flex / Full Time when needed and OvertimeMinimum 3 years handling Prisoners / Detainees within the previous 5 yearsMinimum 2 years Supervisory Experience in the Corrections or Detention SettingSpecial Operations / Military a plus (DD214)All Starside employees must be able to obtain and maintain a Government ClearanceCompensation is $ 40.00 per hour and $ 4.57 per hour Health & Welfare (fringe deposited used for healthcare and remainder into a Retirement Account). Starside offers 80 Hours vacation and 56 hours of sick time after 1 year of employment, (as a percentage of full-time). Officers must be approved by The Federal Agency that is requesting the Detention Officer Supervisor and pass their background
