Description:

The TEKsystems Delivery Lead is a critical role within the Global Services delivery organization and functions in the execution of day-to-day activities for one or more services engagements. A successful Delivery Lead possesses skill sets for managing people, processes, and technology. The Delivery role is responsible for managing project resources and providing services to external clients.

This delivery role interfaces with multiple layers of our client’s technology and business management to deliver business outcomes, and interface with current, and future technical consultants. This role is tightly coupled with Delivery leaders and partners, including sales, account management, and our Operational Support Group (OSG) teams and shall have the capability to work with client key stakeholders and leadership team.

Job Summary

·Support management of IT projects for an external client

·Manage/dealing with high level demanding stakeholders

·Keep remote Delivery Team Leadership informed about day-to-day operations in the data center

·Ensure projects remain on track and within budget

·Identify and manage risks to the delivery team and develop contingency plans

·Manage project consultants, maintaining notes, dates, and other relevant information on file

·Conduct on-site visits to client data centers in the region to foster consistent client relationships with Data Center Management, Information Technology Operations Manager(s), and local technicians

·Cultivate a positive team environment by sharing information and best practices, facilitating regular team meetings, promoting cross-discipline collaboration, and staying updated on team members' work status to address inquiries from Microsoft Leadership.

·Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring they remain on task and are completed on time

·Lead team meetings, prioritize workloads, and adjust priorities to meet evolving requirements

·Resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively

·Understand client business needs, optimize resource allocation, and communicate the impact of data center operations to technicians

·Ensure on-site technicians comply with safety procedures (, equipment use, ladder/rolling stair use)

·Demonstrate pride and accountability for service quality, completeness, and resulting user experience

·Provide performance management, feedback, coaching, career development, and training resources to consultants

Required Education and/or Experience

·Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent is a plus, but not required.

·3+ years of experience in a professional IT consulting and services organization.

·1+ years in client facing roles.

·2+ years of hands-on IT project delivery experience.

·Project management experience using at least one of the following methodologies: Agile, RUP, RAD, or Scrum desired but not required

Requisite Abilities and/or Skills

·Excellent communication skills and able to engage with people quickly.

·Evidence of being able to establish good relationships quickly despite any challenges that may present themselves.

·Understanding of IT outsourcing and staffing.

·Awareness of SOW/contractual obligations/managed services between a supplier and client.

·Experienced in dealing in direct relationships with customers.

·Diplomatic but can be assertive when required.

·Excellent written skills potentially evidenced by the production of client facing documentation.

·Able to disseminate a wide variety of information (verbal & derived) into valuable concise reporting.

·Organized with great diary management skills.

·Experienced in the use of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

·Understanding of financial/project budget reports.

·Good with self-supported growth and development.

·Work on and own initiatives.

·Directly managed IT projects for an end client preferably an external client

·Ability to undertake process/situation improvement work including GAP analysis where appropriate

·Some experience in a professional services environment including knowledge of both resource and outcome based solutions

·Experienced in managing resource-based engagements with large numbers of people

·Full understanding of IT development lifecycle
