Coordinator, Plymouth Family Resource Center

Reports to: Director, Early Childhood & Family Programs
Full Time, Academic Calendar, 220 days

FRC located at Partnership Learning Academy, Plymouth
Position is open until filled / Anticipated start date is August 2024

Job Description: EdAdvance is seeking a Coordinator for the Plymouth Family Resource Center. The qualified candidate will be professional, organized, and able to work independently and within a team setting. The Plymouth Family Resource Center (FRC) provides school-based family support programs that strengthen the bond between the family and school, nurture the healthy development of the family, and prepare children for school.

Major Responsibilities:

Coordinate and implement seven program components to ensure program continuity and quality Collaborate with agencies and service providers in the community to build capacity and partnerships that support families and program services Organize and facilitate advisory committee to support and guide the Family Resource Center Monitor program budget and assures all expenditures align with funding requirements Identify additional resources for FRC services and programs Assure the submission of all required reports to state and local entities in partnership with the Director of Early Childhood Data collecting and reporting Provide supervision for program personnel Direct and oversee an NAEYC Preschool program in partnership with Head Teacher Attend CT FRC Alliance meetings
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work independently, accepting responsibility for decision making Ability to solve problems and negotiate with conflicting groups and individuals Persuasive skills including training, communication, both written and verbal, negotiating, and influencing others Managerial skills such as planning, organizing program components, problem solving, and staff oversight Regular and consistent attendance is considered an essential function of this position
Qualifications/Requirements: Degree in early childhood education, child development, social services, or related field Minimum of two years’ experience in childcare, public administration, or early childhood education Experience with School Readiness preferred Master’s degree preferred but not required
