Benefits:

New management full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week, will be eligible for the Company medical, dental and life insurance plans the first of the month following the first day of full-time employment.

Full-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off (“PTO”) in accordance with the Company policy at a rate of 120 hours per year.

Full-Time team members are eligible for 7 paid holidays annually.

All team members 21 years and older are eligible to participate in the J.F. Shea Co., Inc. 401(k) plan after completion of 30 days of service.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Communications Specialist supports the Marketing, Lifestyle, Communications, and Retail (MLCR) team in the development of internal and external communications for the BlueStar Resort & Golf network of facilities. The Communications Specialist plays a critical role in the creation, development, and distribution of content for various platforms and channels, but most prominently our Members only communication platforms. The primary responsibility is to ensure that content is accurate, complete, engaging, timely, and aligns with the respective goals, brand identities, and target audiences. To be successful in this role, the Communications Specialist must value style, precision, accuracy, time management, and hard work. This position reports to the Associate Director of Marketing, Lifestyle, and Communications and provides support to all members of the MLCR team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: CommunicatethecorevaluesandmissionofBlueStarResort&Golf(BSRG)tosupport the achievement of company goals. Createaproductiveandenjoyableworkenvironmenttoinspire,motivate,andleadby example, with the intention to recognize team member performance. Manage multiple concurrent assignments, including all elements which support our Member Communications efforts, including day-to-day oversight, copywriting, copyediting, email management, creative planning, and project management. Lead the training efforts of new team members as it relates to Member Communications platforms and processes. Copywritingforonlineandprintmarketing, communications, and brandingmaterials,including presentation creation, adcampaigns,website copy, training materials, branding and marketing collateral, and other content as required. Manage the development and completion of the , in collaboration with the Associate Director of Marketing, Lifestyle, Communications. ParticipatewiththeMLCR teambyattendingmeetingsandconference calls to review workloads, set priorities, and assign tasks. Screen,direct,and/orhandleincomingcallsand e-mails from Members and gueststoensurethat requests and questions are handled promptly and effectively; keep up to date with correspondence and administrative tasks. Provideadministrativeandgeneraloffice support. Otherdutiesandresponsibilitiesmaybeassigned. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Must be highly customer oriented and responsive with high need for closure. Able to work under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments. Strong team-building skills including the ability to lead, cooperate, and motivate. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

Bachelor’sdegreeinMarketing,Journalism,Communications,English,orrelatedfield strongly preferred. Two or more years ofrelatedexperienceand/ortraining,preferablyinanagency environment; supervisory experience preferred. ComputerliteratewithworkingknowledgeofMicrosoftOffice. WordPress,orsimilarcontentmanagementplatformsrequired;basicknowledgeof HTML preferred. Experiencewithgraphic design preferred. Photographyandvideoskills preferred. Effectivewritingandproofreadingskillsrequired. Abilitytoworkindependentlyandcollaborativelywithina team. Mustbeflexibleand adaptable. Mustbecreativeandinnovativeandalso willingtoworkwithexistingstandardsand procedures. Mustbeabletoconsistentlyachievehighworkstandards;attentiontodetail,accuracy, and timeliness. Mustdemonstrateinitiative—abilitytothink,work,andmakeindependentdecisions, based on sound judgment. Mustbeabletopayattentiontomultipledetailsandbecomfortableworkinginafast- paced environment where continuous improvement is expected. Thispositionrequiresaflexiblescheduletoincludeeveningsandweekends,withlimited travel required. Validdriver’slicenseis required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Thispositionoperatesinaprofessionalindoorofficeenvironmentandroutinelyusesstandard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
