Entry-Level Bookkeeper

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming accounts payable calls and email inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Perform accurate financial data entry functions using QuickBooks and other proprietary systems.
  • Ensure patient medical information is up-to-date and accurate to facilitate efficient billing.
  • Process and distribute incoming mail to the appropriate departments as required.
  • Make outbound phone calls to provider offices and clients when assigned.
  • Carry out all other accounts payable and accounts receivable duties as directed by management.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent teamwork skills to collaborate towards common goals.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficient problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and follow established procedures.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and other MS Office applications.
  • Adaptability to technological changes and a willingness to learn new systems.
  • Understanding and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Preferred experience in a medical or dental office environment.
  • Familiarity with identifying and processing medical and dental financial documents.
  • Capacity to adhere to physical and information security standards, as well as training requirements.

Education/Experience:

  • Finance experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
