Transitions Healthcare, LLC is currently seeking an Accounts Payable (AP) Leader
This position will be remote with some travel required throughout western PA for purposes of trainings, check runs, etc.
Accounts Payable (AP) Leader Overview of Duties
• In this role, the Accounts Payable Leader will resolve vendor inquires regarding account
statements, payment inquires and any other items that may arise.
• Perform weekly and interim check runs as required.
• Process accounts payable invoice.
• Work closely with AP team on open invoices and credits.
• Accurately codes general ledger.
• Update cash logs for each facility.
• Monitor AP for multiple facilities.
• Complete regular reconciliation on selected accounts.
• Actively participates in end of month procedures.
• Makes bank deposits as requested.
• Processes annual 1099 forms for vendors.
• Assist finance team with month end processing, including accruals and account reconciliations.
• Assist with company audits that come up throughout the year.
• Work with colleagues to identify the reasons invoices were skipped or short paid and work on
processing payment in a timely manner.
• Files and maintains all financial documents in an organized manner.
• The accounts Payable Leader will protect the business against unintentional overpayments.
• Communicate with management and colleagues to facilitate resolution of issues and concerns.
• Comply with Employee Handbook and company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as directed from time to time by supervisors and/or management.
Requirements/ Minimum Qualifications
• Leaders degree in accounting, related field, high school diploma or equivalent AND (2) years’
experience in an accounts payable setting.
• Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Experience in a customer facing role working with vendors and negotiating terms
• Ability to successfully operate a computer, accounting software, and adding machines
• General knowledge of accounting ledgers and accounts payable forms
• Ability to comprehend and apply concepts for enhancement and efficiency of department and
general operations.
• Ability to timely complete multi-faceted functions with minimal supervision.
• Be organized, detailed, efficient and accurate in work performance
• Possess and display proper communication skills which exude patience and self-discipline.
• Function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively on
the behalf of the company.
