ACCOUNTING CLERK

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Accounting Assistant is responsible for assisting in all functions of accounting for a mid-sized company with multiple locations. This position reports to the Controller.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage Accounts Payable using QuickBooks
  • Ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
  • Process transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
  • Assist Accounts Payable Manager with tracking Bill of Ladings to invoices
  • Respond to credit card dispute cases or customer service issues
  • Track and analyze dispute outcomes
  • Assist Department & Others as needed
  • Order office supplies for locations
  • Other tasks as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or higher plus two years of relevant experience preferred
  • Must have characteristics of discretion and confidentiality
  • Must embrace change and challenge
  • Must have technical competence
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, solve problems and work in a fast-paced, high volume, environment, with minimal supervision
