Position at Ziff Davis VP of Product & Engineering, Ziff Media GroupTHIS IS A REMOTE POSITION.Reporting To: General Manager, Technology Media GroupThe VP of Product & Engineering will play a pivotal role in leading the product and engineering strategy for Ziff Davis’s Tech Media Group which includes the Mashable, PCMag, Lifehacker, Extreme Tech and Ask Men websites. Reporting to the EVP, Tech Media, this role will create the vision for our consumer-facing websites and will spearhead initiatives to enhance user-experience, drive innovation and ensure technical excellence of our platforms. In partnership with the rest of the Executive Leadership Team, the VP of Product & Engineering will ensure that products are smoothly making their way from conception and prioritization, to the point of scheduling and execution. Responsibilities Product Strategy: In partnership with key stakeholders across the organization, develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with divisional objectives/KPIs, leveraging market insights, user feedback and industry best practices to drive product innovation and differentiation Team Leadership: Lead a talented team of product managers and engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity and continuous improvement; determine cost-effective solutions to execute on product roadmap, including leveraging ex-US talent and contractors as needed Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the division, including Editorial, Audience, Marketing, Sales, Affiliate Commerce and Operations to align product initiatives with business goals  Technology Roadmap: Define and prioritize the technology roadmap, identifying key initiatives and investments to enhance platform performance and scalability while maintaining a focus on user experience and innovation; regularly meet with internal stakeholders to solicit their feedback on internal and customer needs for consideration in the product roadmap, and ensure regular communication of upcoming product changes and enhancements. Agile Development: Implement best practices for agile product development and project management, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features and enhancements while managing risks and dependencies effectively Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics and user insights to inform product decisions, drive experimentation and optimize user engagement, retention and monetization strategies Resource Management: Effectively manage division’s tech budget and resources, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization to support strategic objectives and maximize operational efficiencies  Qualifications / Requirements Proven track record of leadership in product management and engineering roles, with a minimum of 12 years of total relevant experience and time spent working at a consumer digital publishing business Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with a demonstrated ability to translate market opportunities and customer needs into successful product solutions Understand what is needed in terms of people & process to re-platform a technology without jeopardizing existing client experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and inspire cross-functional teams Experience leading/managing cross-functional teams of 10+ people, including product managers, hardware engineers, software architects and developers Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field
