As a Demand Analyst at Stella & Chewy’s, you will play a crucial role in refining forecast methodologies, analyzing customer-related data, and managing internal data collection. You will work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure data-driven decision-making and provide timely insights to support the business's short and long-term goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Refine Forecast Methodologies: Continuously work to improve forecasting techniques and methodologies to enhance accuracy. Analyze Customer Related Data: Analyze invoice data and inventory reports to unveil trends and provide actionable insights. Manage Internal Data Collection: Collect and manage data from various sources including POS, invoice transactions, and customer forecast files. Compare forecast data to internal inventory levels to provide insights into the constrained forecast. Performance of Promotional Activities: Analyze the impact of promotional activities on sales and provide insights to optimize future promotions. Manage the Aged Inventory Process: Monitor and manage aged inventory, working with and informing the sales team of at-risk inventory. Forecast Responsibilities for New to Market Innovation Items: Collaborate with New Product Development and Sales teams to create accurate forecasts for new product launches. Evaluate the performance of new products relative to initial projections. Data Visualization and Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics and trends. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Collaboration with IT and Data Teams: Work closely with data teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data sources. Participate in the implementation of new data management tools and systems. Customer Insights: Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify patterns and trends that can inform demand forecasting and inventory management strategies. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of demand planning and forecasting processes. Risk Management: Assess risks to the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions. Requirements BA/BS degree in Business, a technical field, or a related quantitative field. 1+ years’ experience in demand planning, sales forecasting, or a related supply chain field. Strong analytical and quantitative skills to handle and interpret large amounts of data. Expert level proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence peers to achieve desired business outcomes. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on problem solving, managing conflicting objectives, and dealing with multiple key stakeholders. Self-motivated with a strong drive for achievement while working in a highly dynamic and often ambiguous environment. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting a plus.
