Bring our games to life by creating eye-catching visual effects and animations for slot machines. Lead the animation team through the development process—set priorities, solve problems, remove obstacles, and facilitate communication. The ability to translate a game designer’s vision into an actionable plan for the animation team, give and receive constructive feedback, and provide direction to a creative team is essential.

Job Responsibilities

Collaborate with the game artist to conceptualize and create compelling 2D/3D animations, visual effects, and motion graphics for game logos, symbols, backgrounds, and features

Manage a team of individual contributors, keeping them motivated, informed, and engaged

Maintain excellent animation quality in regard to timing, style, and impact

Understand and resolve technical issues relating to graphics (e.g., rendering, streaming, memory management, playback performance, etc.)

Communicate and collaborate with the game designer and development team in an iterative development process

Mentor junior animators in related studios and throughout Game Development

Maintain well-organized working files to facilitate file sharing and collaborative work

Archive all final working files for future use using version control software

Contribute to overall Game Development department culture

Qualifications

Experience

5+ years of professional experience in 2D/3D animation and/or motion graphic design

2+ years of professional experience leading teams, managing animators, and/or providing project art direction

Gaming industry experience is preferred, but not required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Enjoy working in a creative environment

Have a strong sense of design, motion, and timing

Have a strong sense of storyboarding for 2D/3D animation

Ability to work well with others in a team environment

Ability to receive art direction and provide multiple design solutions

Ability to adapt to new technologies

Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator

Proficiency in 3D animation a plus (3DS Max preferred)

Proficiency in compositing and rotoscoping a plus

Familiarity with Unity a plus

Familiarity with shaders and shader creation/coding a plus

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
