Nationwide Skilled Trades is hiring a recruiter for the Virginia Beach location.

Overview of Recruiter Position: Responsible for the branch’s recruiting success, ensuring the hiring of the best possible employees to meet and exceed client’s expectations.

Responsibilities for the Recruiter:
  • Must be self-driven, results oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality and business profit.
  • Must be a team player, well presented and professional.
  • Must be a good communicator and motivator.
  • Efficiently and effectively fill all open orders with qualified applicants meeting the expectations of the client.
  • Source candidates through various channels to conduct interviews, and assess candidates' qualifications and skills to determine applicants’ abilities to meet clients’ needs.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates for current and future hiring needs.
  • Maintain on-going communications with clients, keeping abreast of hiring trends, skill sets and testing requirements.
  • Coordinate to facilitate the smooth onboarding of new hires, ensuring a positive experience for both the employee and the company.
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and career fairs to contribute to building and promoting the employer brand to attract top talent and maintain a positive reputation in the job market.
  • Administrator duties and recordkeeping as outlined by company policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate orientation to communicate policies, procedures, appropriate safety protocol and use of personal protective equipment, and also communicating client specific job information.
  • Any other tasks as requested from Branch Manager.

Qualifications for Recruiter:
  • Proven experience as a recruiter or in a similar role, preferably in a staffing agency or recruitment firm.
  • Experience in DBIDS and VSRA training is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and clients.
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
