Overview:
- Preparation of CAD design drawings: PFDs & P&IDs for the Lithium Processing Facility using Intergraph Smartplant software.
- Design 2D CAD drawings, 3D modeling, walk-downs and inspections for process piping and utility piping systems in support of nuclear and non-nuclear projects at Y-12.
- Prepare design and title II output documents including P&IDs, piping drawings, construction drawings, utility drawings bills of material for cost estimating and man-hour estimates.
Clearance & Citizenship Requirement:
- To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
- Due to the nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with 3D modeling using Bentley software and/or SmartPlant is desirable.
- Electrical background, preferred.
- Experience with Smart Plant (SPPID) P&ID.
- Experience with Smart Plant (S3D) Piping.

The NNSA's Y-12 National Security Complex, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, is the nation’s only source of enriched uranium nuclear weapon components and provides enriched uranium for the U.S. Navy as well as excels in materials science, precision manufacturing, and stores enriched uranium. Y-12 supports efforts to reduce nuclear proliferation risk and performs work for other government agencies (energy.gov).
