Job Overview:
As a Mechanical Engineer specializing in piping systems, you will play a crucial role in coordinating with various stakeholders, including offshore design teams, clients, vendors, and contractors, to ensure that all design deliverables align with customer expectations. Your expertise will support the construction team by providing essential technical guidance as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the construction team to provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project planning and resource allocation to optimize team utilization.
• Engage with clients to understand project scope and facilitate communication among all stakeholders for effective project execution.
• Oversee engineering activities related to new product development and maintenance of existing machinery.
• Document construction-related challenges and develop action plans to address these issues, ensuring alignment with vendor tasks for flawless machine installation.
• Utilize your extensive knowledge of engineering principles to make independent decisions regarding project-related problems.
• Prepare and manage work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring timely implementation and performance.
• Review and approve critical engineering drawings, calculations, and bid summaries, facilitating technical discussions with third parties to secure necessary approvals.
• Demonstrate expertise in process piping design, adhering to key standards such as ASME B31.3 and BPE.
• Bring experience from the FMCG, CPG, or pharmaceutical sectors to enhance project outcomes.
• Utilize 2D design software (AutoCAD) to create and review design documents.
• Act as the primary point of contact for project calls with clients and coordinate design deliverables with offshore teams.
• Prepare design markups and ensure timely delivery of design packages to clients.
• Provide ongoing support to the construction team in addressing technical queries and clarifications.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/B Tech) is required.
Compensation: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
