Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Product Management to join the Marcel team. This role is critical to driving product excellence and fostering strong relationships with senior and executive stakeholders –both internal and external to drive strategic external partnerships with our clients and partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading product teams, making strategic decisions on feature scope, and managing the end-to-end product lifecycle in partnership with the Head of Product, while also serving as a key partner to the President to drive our external partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Senior Manager Product Management (50%)
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor product teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Decision Making: Make informed decisions on feature scope and prioritization to ensure product alignment with company goals.
- Process Management: Oversee and optimize end-to-end product management processes, from ideation to launch.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and other departments to ensure seamless product development and delivery.
- Roadmap & Strategy: Develop and maintain product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with employee needs and business objectives.
- Performance Metrics: Define, track, and report on key product performance metrics, driving continuous improvement.
- External Partnerships (50%)
- Executive Partnership: Act as a key partner to the President, Head of Product, and other leadership team members, aligning product strategy with their vision.
- Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with senior and executive stakeholders(both internal and external), ensuring clear communication and alignment on product priorities.
- Strategic Partnerships: Own and manage strategic business partnerships with our clients and partners, drive the partnership end to end from concept to execution
- Strategic Consulting: Be a key leader in providing right strategic guidance to our external partners and clients in driving their needs from Marcel.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in product management or a similar role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven experience in managing relationships with senior and executive stakeholders.
- Strategic Consulting: Minimum of 3-5 years serving as a consultant for client needs.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent decision-making and prioritization abilities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of aligning product initiatives with business goals.
- Proficient in product management tools and methodologies.
- Being able to handle ambiguous situations and drive clarity
Location & Travel:
- Willingness to be based in France, UK, or US, with a preference for France and UK and other EU countries
- Occasional travel may be required to collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.
