About this position:

The Supervisor Nurse Navigator functions on the multidisciplinary supervisor as an advocate, interpreter, educator, and clinical nursing expert for the Gildenhorn Institute of Bone and Joint Health Navigators and patients. The Supervisor Nurse Navigator provides supervision to other nurse navigators and is responsible for ensuring all patients having spinal and joint replacement surgery receive quality and comprehensive services. The Supervisor Navigator will coordinate and supervise patient care throughout the continuum in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. She/he will serve as a clinical resource with expertise in spine and joint replacement (orthopaedic) care management. He/she will serve as a liaison throughout the facility and in the community regarding services provided for these unique patient populations.

What you will need:

Bachelor’s Degree in nursing required; Master’s degree in nursing preferred. Licensure as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in the District of Columbia. Preferred five years direct patient care and navigation experience in neurosurgical/orthopedic/spine care; supervisory experience; one year’s experience in staff/patient education. Orthopedic Nursing Certification required within one year of hire.

Salary Range: Minimum $47.93 per hour - Maximum $74.29 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
