AAA is hiring for a Merchandise Programs Specialist to join our team This position is responsible for the development, implementation, management and effectiveness of Merchandise programs to support AAA Club Alliance’s travel product strategies throughout all distribution channels. This role supports successful execution of the overall merchandise program while increasing revenue, profitability and scope of the program.

Identifies, negotiates and selects vendors necessary to fulfill club merchandise program a strategy. Manages club merchandise program efforts with focus on partnerships, pricing strategy, profitability and promotion. Works with content specialist and marketing and visual merchandise teams to create key marketing concepts for each retail model including Traditional, Explorer, CCIT and Virtual Store concepts. Coordinates plans for merchandise stock levels by addressing changes in demand for products and logistics to meet business needs and maximize business efficiency. Analyzes and revises pricing strategy for merchandise program to maximize profitability. Trains/educates retail associates on product information and selling skills. Develops and maintains resources to support Retail office and Contact Center associates. Develops and maintains mutually beneficial business relationships with preferred and non-preferred merchandise vendors. Provides daily support of the Retail, online and Contact Center channels through problem resolution, maintenance of intranet resources, merchandise communications direction and sales support. Works with product coordinators to ensure support and alignment of all merchandise fulfillment processes, strategies and activities. Contributes to the strategy and content for Merchandise Programs presence at AAA Club Alliance expos, events and seminars. Administers functions of ecommerce site including inputting of product records, product pricing and order processing. Works with content specialist to develop and implement merchandise marketing and promotional strategies to increase awareness of program. Establishes and maintains a strong working relationship with Distribution Channel management team to insure program success.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or Communications and 3-5+ years applicable work experience including product management, marketing, retail operations, and various distribution channels. Work experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Marketing/Sales experience to include both traditional and online. Practical knowledge of Product Management, Inventory and Vendor Management. Ability to form relationships with vendor representatives, internal clients, support departments, etc. Strong blend of analytical skills and problem solving capability. Communications skills that encourage open dialogue and co-operation. Ability to resolve complaints among any combination of field, members and/or vendors. Ability to successfully manage multiple demands with demonstrated ability to prioritize responsibilities. Willingness to travel throughout club territory as necessary. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.AAA Club Alliance (ACA) is an equal opportunity employer.
