Merchandise Planner

DTLR, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Planner to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for developing and executing merchandise plans and forecasts to drive sales and profitability.

• Develop and maintain merchandise plans by department and class
• Manage the OTB (Open-to-Buy) process to ensure accurate inventory levels
• Analyze historical data and current trends to identify opportunities and risks
• Present analysis and action plans to stakeholders
• Recap monthly and quarterly performance by class against plan
• Create and maintain unit plans to optimize inventory and sales
• Analyze sales and margin to identify opportunities and categories to divest
• Propose planned promotions based on profitability and sales goals
• Perform regional merchandise performance analysis
• Analyze aged inventory and propose liquidation strategies
• Provide daily, monthly, quarterly, and seasonal sales reporting

• 4-year degree required
• 3-5 years in related buying experience or 5-7 years with a mix of buying, planning, and placement responsibilities
• Strong merchandising, product, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in desktop applications and Windows-based programs
• Retail math literacy and application of concepts to daily operations
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Competitive salary range: $65,000 - $80,000
