Duties:


Job Summary: The Nuclear Medicine /Radiologic Technologist participates in activities which assures quality patient care.

Essential Functions: Perform radiographic exams that utilize ionizing radiation while providing protection for all patients using ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) principles, as well as supervising staff technologists in the correct use of radiation producing equipment.

Perform invasive procedures and exams requiring the use of contrast agents, both oral and intravenous injection (venipuncture), under the direct supervision of a radiologist, as well as supervising staff technologists in the correct performance of these duties.

Participates in performance improvement activities in the Radiology Customer Participates in continuous quality improvement activities within the hospital or in the Radiology Customer Adheres to principles of infection control in performing direct patient care Performs safety/control checks on Customer equipment as per Customer standards


Skills:


Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited Nuclear Medicine program. ARRT (N) or CNMT Registry required. BLS (AHA or ARC) required.
