Position Description:

Charlotte Radiology, a large (>100 physician) subspecialty-based radiology practice, is seeking an ABR certified or eligible fellowship-trained nuclear medicine radiologist. A diagnostic Radiology residency is required. The successful candidate will be an integral member of our 5-physician nuclear medicine section and will be based at our flagship hospital in Charlotte, NC.



Nuclear Section Highlights:

* Wide range of general nuclear medicine and PET-CT including neuro and pediatrics.

* Large volume of PET-CT from 4 fixed scanners and 1 mobile scanner including FDG, DOTATATE, PSMA, and FES.

* Rapidly growing oncology volumes from our partnership with Levine Cancer Institute.

* Hybrid siting with ability to read PET-CT virtually.

* Virtual multi-disciplinary tumor board involvement.

* Section currently protocols and interprets for 10 separate nuclear medicine departments throughout Atrium Health

* Nuclear Section members rotate into General/Body Shifts. No Mammo, MSK or Neuro required.

Charlotte Radiology is comprised of over 100 Board Certified radiologists and over 35 APPs, serving as the area's imaging experts since 1967. Over the last 50 years, we have become one of the largest and most progressive radiology groups in the nation, and a founding partner of US Radiology Specialists. In addition to offering 24/7 coverage for 16 hospitals, we also own and operate 17 breast centers, a mobile mammography program, 2 vein centers, several vascular and interventional clinics, and jointly own and operate 6 free-standing imaging centers. Our physician team is active in clinical research, teaching, and radiology advocacy.

Position Requirements:

* ABR certified or eligible

* Fellowship trained in Nuclear Medicine. Dedicated 1 year fellowship preferred over integrated pathway. A diagnostic Radiology residency is required.


* Expertise in interpretation of PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and diagnostic nuclear medicine

* General radiology interpretation skills

* Highly motivated team player
