Description

The Chief Operating Officer will be expected to help achieve and sustain a high performing multispecialty physician enterprise. The operations will be founded upon a unified and integrated philosophy of patient care. The COO is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of Augusta Medical Group including management of the profit and loss statement and resources associated with operation of the organization. The COO is responsible for integrating Augusta Health’s strategic plan into the operations of AMG and will be accountable for the development of high quality, cost effective and integrated clinical programs. The Chief Operating Officer will work closely with many departments and functions to ensure integrated, and successful performance. The COO will report to the President of AMG and manage a team of total FTEs, including Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. (see organizational chart).

Requirements:

Skills:

A thorough understanding of physician practice management operations and experience improving practice performance. Understanding of legal risk related to physician employment and willingness to work closely with the legal team as needed. Understanding of Physician Practice Law and Stark laws. Respectful and transparent communicator with a desire to work with physicians. Ability to actively engage physicians and drive performance. Must have a successful track record of building physician support and loyalty. Ability to operationalize a vision. Create a playbook outlining the tactical steps and timeline required to achieve the vision. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize. Knowledge of the principles and practices of health care administration, fiscal management, and reimbursement regulations. A champion for exceptional quality, safety and service.
