Position: Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Process and review invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Code and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring correct account allocation.
  • Prepare and process payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment-related inquiries.
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks, including AP account reconciliations.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date AP records and documentation.
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and reports as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.
  • years of relevant experience in accounts payable or a related field.
