ROLE PURPOSE

The Reliability Engineer is a key member of the Manufacturing Group's daily operations, responsible for maximizing the performance and life cycle of the plant's operational assets. This role is located at our facility in McIntosh, Alabama, and may involve international assignments. The Reliability Engineer plays a crucial role in the maintenance and reliability team, ensuring the site maintains a reliability culture and reducing asset lifecycle costs. He/she is responsible for growing the preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Provide technical support for predictive maintenance technologies, including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, and acoustic testing.
  • Lead the root cause failure analysis process to identify and address equipment failures.
  • Manage capital and expense projects to implement reliability improvements and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure reliability of new and modified assets, while minimizing total lifecycle costs.
  • Develop and implement training programs to build the reliability culture and continuously improve.
  • Work closely with equipment vendors, repair facilities, and onsite maintenance teams to ensure proper equipment sourcing and repair techniques.
  • Communicate with other Maintenance & Reliability organizations to share best practices and benchmarking.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in reliability engineering, with a strong background in predictive maintenance technologies and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of process equipment and components.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of SAP maintenance software, with experience in work notification reporting, PM scheduling, and asset linked spare parts.
