Kelly Science is seeking a Preclinical Technologist I for a new facility located in Gainesville, Florida.

Shift: Monday- Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay: $20-$25/hours based upon experience

Employment Type: Full Time; Direct hire

As the Preclinical Technologist I, you will be responsible for performing advanced biomethods, including complex tasks and highly developed procedures, understanding study timelines and communicating issues effectively. Candidates need to have mice handling experience. 

Job Responsibilities Include
 
  • Perform basic biomethods learned as an in vivo technologist and complex procedures as required from the functional group requirements and study needs.
  • Adhere to all SOPs, policies and regulatory procedures.
  • Perform accurate data entry including Lab IT systems and databases.
  • Maintain accurate documentation as required by protocols and SOPs.
  • Participate in the development of new procedures and improvements of current procedures.
  • Training lower level technologists when needed.
  • Perform general lab sanitation, maintain consumables and reagents, and maintain equipment through calibration, validation and monitoring.
     
Qualifications
 
  • Bachelors degree in a science related field preferred. High school diploma required.
  • 3+ years of experience within a laboratory/animal care setting. Previous mouse experience with dosing/sample collection is required.
  • Ability to perform a wide range of animal biomethods and/or complex procedures.
  • Strong communication skills, problem solving skills, and ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Must be able to train in Bar Harbor, ME for 2 weeks (all expenses paid for)
