Job Summary

UF Health Shands is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist I to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures with independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and its application in MRI procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in MRI technology and techniques.

Requirements

  • Prefer experienced MRI Technologists with advanced certification or registry eligibility.
  • Minimum education and experience requirements include satisfactory completion of an accredited MRI program and at least one year of experience in the Radiology or MRI department.
  • Must have current BLS certification and pass the ARRT or ARMRIT advanced examination for MRI certification within one year of employment.

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation

Employees in this position will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose.
