Position: Preclinical Technologist I
Location: Gainesville, Florida
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour, commensurate with experience
Employment Status: Full-Time; Direct Hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting both fundamental and advanced biomethods and laboratory procedures as necessary
- Adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs), company policies, and regulatory guidelines
- Ensuring precise data entry and thorough documentation
- Engaging in the development and enhancement of laboratory procedures
- Providing training and support to junior technologists
- Maintaining general cleanliness and upkeep of the laboratory environment
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline is preferred
- A high school diploma is mandatory
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in laboratory or animal care settings
- Experience with mouse handling, including dosing and sample collection, is essential
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Capability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Willingness to undergo training in Bar Harbor, ME for two weeks (expenses covered)
