Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist I to join our team at UF Health Shands. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures, utilizing their technical knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective care in an educational facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently perform all phases of diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures, adhering to department protocol and regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately document all radioactive materials and medical record information, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and hospital regulations.
  • Participate in rotational on-call duties, providing 24/7 coverage as required.
Requirements
  • Associate of Science Degree in Nuclear Medicine from an AMA-approved program, meeting the requirements for certification by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT).
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), and licensure from the Florida Department of Health (DOH).
  • Preferred qualifications include CT certification by ARRT and/or NMTCB, and licensure by the Florida DOH.
